d’Vine was named for our mutual admiration and relationship with Wine. Wendy, our bass owns her own vineyard Laghetti Vineyards and makes killer Clante and Rosato di Sangiovese. Melany, our lead works for Beam Wine Estates, a wine distributor and has her hands in the wine industry every day. Kerry, our baritone loves to drink wine ... and Sandy – well, we are still figuring that one out. Yes, d’Vine is just "corked" that Sandy Cope decided to join d’Vine in May after Debbie bid adieu to the quartet. We are all proud members of the Pacific Empire Chorus and Sandy is a dual member with Sacramento Valley Chorus. We were definitely a late harvest - have forming up in the fall of 2006, however not new to Sweet Adelines. Having a good nose for barbershop music and plenty of body paid off for our first appearance on that contest stage together. We were thrilled to place 2nd, only to the wonderful quartet Confetti. |
